In need of more space for their growing business, Power Systems acquired an existing distributor office/warehouse. The 200,000 sf facility contained 32,000 sf of office space that was in desperate need of a face lift. The nearly windowless brick facade was removed and replaced with a partial EIFS veneer and large new windows in the offices on the first and second floor. A two-story atrium space was created between the first and second floors at the entry to provide a large, open environment at the main lobby. Accessibility was updated with new entry ramp, covered entry canopy and elevator.

On the interior, the design salvaged as many existing walls as possible on the ground floor to create a new corporate interior for private offices, conference rooms, call center space and renovated existing restrooms. On the second floor, the design was required to work around a large existing central mechanical room to create a new open office environment with new restrooms, work areas and a large meeting/training room. The existing warehouse space was re-fitted with new energy efficient lighting and repaired as needed for housing inventory.

Future plans include pursuing LEED certification to the facility, along with replacing the roof, re-designing the exterior parking and site to accommodate more green space, and exterior environments including a walking trail loop around the complex.
