Old Car Heaven, located in Birmingham, AL's industrial southside, has earned a reputation as the place ”where old cars go to live forever.“ Stuart Dudley, an attorney and Birmingham native, amassed such an extensive collection of classic cars over the years that he needed an 80,000sf warehouse to hold them all.
In 2008 he began the task of renovating the front third into a museum of sorts, renovating the gritty, 50's-era warehouse into an art-deco themed events venue for conferences, parties, concerts, etc. Visitors are surrounded by the best examples of his collection, transforming chrome, rubber and leather into the ultimate backdrop for any occasion.
Studio Four Design provided conceptual interiors consulting at the onset of the renovation. Services included complete space planning for venue seating, along with furniture and finish recommendations for the primary party area.
With 150+ cars representing every decade (most of them are Chrysler’s from the 40s-60s), many of his cars are packed bumper to bumper in the rear two-thirds of his warehouse and range from the exotic to the everyday; from all rust to mint condition.
