Studio Four Design is currently developing a custom lakefront residence in the Tellico Village area of Monroe County, Tennessee. The cleints, locating from Indianapolis, challenged us to create a home that reflects their modern taste while also meeting the neighborhood’s more traditional design covenants.
The 3 story home is designed around an open circulation spine anchored by a fireplace and elevator core. At each level, large expanses of glass provide abundant lake views as you transition seamlessly between rooms. At both the main entry level and lake access level, floor-to-ceiling glass panels are designed to slide into wall pockets, extending the living areas onto the deep southern-facing porch and patio, respectively. Upper levels include bedroom suites and bonus rooms that all have shared access to indoor sitting rooms and outdoor observation decks. Other design considerations include an entry parking court with garage, site development and boat dock.
